We've just bought tent and the works and are supposed to go for our first camping trip this weekend with kids aged 5 & 3... are we mad to go in this weather for our first go of it?? Supposed to be wexford bound. Any advice?

If this will be your first time in a tent I think you'll be amazed at how cold it will be, especially this weekend take hats and or balaclavas. Pitch up where there is plenty of shelter. Take plenty of spare clothes. But the best of luck to you.

Keep coming towards Wexford and carry on to Rosslare Harbour and get on the boat to Cherbourg turn right and drive for a couple of days and you'll be grand. Nice and warm. :hots: :hots:

You could get a sickener at this time of year. Be patient, wait for the slightly warmer weather, your lady will thank you for it. The kids will love regardless of the weather, but if one of you is not having fun.........

If they did they probably are as we stayed down that direction last night and it was very mild and there were quite a few tents on the site we were at.
