Trad/Folk music in France!

Hi,

bit of an off-the-wall question, but I play trad and folk music - are there any sites around west coast of France that draw like-minded people? Would love an oul tune during the holidays. Brought instrument to France last year (Sequoia Park, past La Rochelle) but even through mostly Irish people on site, not a song or tune to be had!

thanks

Don't know about France but we will be having a sing song at Lough Arrow campsite near Sligo Sat 21st May if you are close by. We will have a small P.A. sys. and guitars etc , play mostly old pop music but some trad. Irish would go down well there. ( might need to book if going , told it's nearly full - not because of us , it's the rise of the Mayfly on the lake that draws the fishermen)

I am guessing that you have sites booked in those areas__ but if you can still travel there are many places
where you should find a bit of music.
In Rochefort ,Charlys pub _on the de la republique is walking distance from the Aires.
In La Rochelle, the general Humbert _rue Sainte Nicholas, Corrigan's on the des cloutiers, and McNultys
on the verdiere.
From about 19 to 24 July further north again the festival cornouvaille kemper (Quimper)
In July the north west Brittany area is full of music happenings and maybe the Maui Celtic.com (BRITTANY)
Website would be worth a look.(I should have added __"for a bit of fun")

Good luck and good weather

Speaking of music....I should be down around doolin around the 20 th June 2017.and wouldn't mind a tune or two..I'm mostly a singer songwriter.guitar player.. it may be nice to have an open accoustic session with like minded musicians..if your around that area at that time and you feel like yodeling let me know... marty.
