Gas??

Hi, Could anyone tell me which gas is best to use if you intend using the van in colder weather, at present I have the normal yellow Calor gas tanks, I know if I change gas type Il need to change the regulator but will any jets need to be replaced in the fridge, heater or cooker??

We were away last weekend & it got down to near freezing & had trouble getting the heater going, so Il be changing if its not too much trouble...

Thanks in advance

Use propane in colder weather or all the time like most. Jets will be ok.

The propane bottle is red. AFAIK you can swap an empty yellow butane bottle for a full red propane bottle provided they are the same approximate size. There is no charge for this bottle swap, just pay for the gas.

Last year I tried exchanging a butane bottle for a propane one when we changed Motorhomes and my Gas supplier wouldn't do it, I had to rent another bottle. I was told since that if I went down to a recycling center they can be got for a few €

(must be differnt in NI)

Actually it was She, Ken!
My local gas supplier don't do propane in small cylinders, so I had to go to Tipperay Town to a certain service on the Link Road :-/ and no way would she exchange the Cylinders so I had to rent a new one as we were taking the Knaus on her maiden voyage that night.
