Sticking Fly Screen and Blackout Blind

I had a sticking Fly Screen in the overcab and one of the blackout blinds started sticking a bit whilst away at Easter. I purchased a small can of Holts Silicone Spray Professional from a motorfactors (for another task) and carefully sprayed it into the top and bottom corners of each blind (blind closed, fly screen extended). Both the Fly Screen and Black Out Blind have quite literally sprung back into life. Not sure if cheaper silicon sprays for tyres/trim are as good but worth attempting if you have this problem.

If that doesn't work, I posted THIS back in 2011.

Yes it is excellent and doesn't stain the fly screen. I had to strip out Hessy's the other week and the sprung side of the roller blind had accumulated dust/gung which caused the sticking. I took a bit of sandpaper to it and then put some silicon on same and similarly  it began to work again.
Its a great feeling 2424 when you know it works without sticking, folding, creasing etc.
