Mechanical problem

We have Burstner Aviano, we have put in one fill since we bought last month. Went to fill yesterday and key would not push all the way in, tried second fuel key. Nothing has broken off either key. Fortunately we still have just under quarter tank of diesel.
At moment WD 40 in lock. There is a good local locksmith but before we do a call-out.

Any suggestions?

Wd40_ better than nothing,BUT ___get graphite based spray or grease, get it into the lock (maybe put some on the key?).
Take your time and "wiggle the key"_eventually it should go back to normal use!!!
Good luck _be sure to let the forum know how you get on!!!
You are only doing what the locksmith would!!!
Have patience.

Is it the type of cap that just revolves around freely until you turn the key? If it is I removed one by drilling a small hole through the outer part and a small bit into the inner part, then I pushed a nail through the two parts a and just twisted it off. I also had to do the same to the water cap in our last Motorhome.

Hi thanks for suggestions, I am only seeing them tonight. The other day Nigel put a spanner in it and turned it. He took it to Ashgrove Interparts, and they are looking for one to replace it. Cap back in position but not locked. At least we can fill up.

Update on our fuel lock , it had seized but using a "release agent" and couple of scanners and now able to lock again.

I don't think I would trust it again Rosemary, I have seen them to give trouble again.
