Having travelled the roads of France and northern Spain for over forty years; and enjoyed every moment of it, I decided to try a different road this year.
The plan is to head to Hamburg and visit the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg. We've seen a few miniature cities over the years including the wonderful France Miniature in Élancourt, but the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg is different and I feel well worth the journey.
The route seems to be Rouen, Lille, Utrecht, Zwolle, Bremen and Hamburg. A journey of about 1150 Kilometres.
I am wondering if anyone has any experience of any of the 'must see' attractions along any parts of this route. We will have three weeks for the return journey and the plan would be to try to take in some of the main attractions along the route and to return to Cherbourg by a slightly different route.
Any help would be much appreciated.
