Spanner light on dash

Hi all.i have a 2008 fiat ducato . A warning light in the shape of a spanner has come on in the dash which I believe to be a service indicator . The van has recently had a full service but this light has only just come on. I have read on the net a procedure to reset it using the mode button but Haven't had any success in getting it to go off or resetting the service interval. I am just wondering if I am doing something wrong or does the van have to go to a fiat dealer to reset it . As I said the van has recently had a full service but not at a fiat dealer.
Thanks

You can buy a code reader which will reset the light and let you know if any errors are present. Sounds like whoever did your service didnt plug a code reader in or reset the service interval.

The online methods usually work so its worth trying again, and again!

Gerh....
Where in Donegal are you?
I will reset it for you if required as we have the full diagnosis gear for nearly all cars/vans.
I'm near Ballybofey, won't cost you anything to reset it for you.

Not so bad if it's only a spanner they're flashing ?
Be worse if they were flashing a big red thing......... like an oil light !
Now now....... what were you thinking !
