Parking up in Dunfanaghy

Has anyone parked up in Dunfanaghy? I've seen motorhomes parked on the pier and also the old hotel on the right hand side as you drive into the town. Is there a downside to parking there?

We are heading up on Friday evening but don't fancy paying 25 euro in the wild Atlantic camp for one night when we wont arrive until after 9pm.

Can park on the pier no problem or if its not necessary to be in the town turn into the golf club and drive right through till car park at beach
Very quiet and there are portaloos there also
Good level flat car park
Or park at rear of patsy dans pub, when you enter car park at pier go into left side instead of right and you will see entrance in the corner

I wouldn't fancy paying €25 even if I arrived at 9 in the bleeding morning. Sometimes it is necessary but it so annoys my hip!

Thanks Bob. I'd forgot about the beach car park. That's a nice quiet spot. Nick, I totally agree but I'm building up my confidence as a newbie so sometimes needs must!!
