iPhone users could accidently render their device useless if they’re tricked into setting the date manually to 1 January 1970.

But why? Baffles me why anyone would even think about doing this. Anyway, iPhone? 46 years ago? Hello.

Saw an item on a news website that gives the impression this will screw up an Apple iPad or laptop as well!

I've had PCs that didn't even need messing about with to screw up - Windows manages that quite well all on it's own.

No problems with windows 10 at all, its very stable.

Have been using Linux (ubuntu) for the last few months now that's a different story, if anyone is interested I'll write my impressions.

Do tell? :)

It's based on debian, I used that years and years ago before a gui, was impressed with Ubuntu at the start but it slowly shows its downfalls. Unless some of these restricted extras help I'll be reinstalling win 10.

I will stick with Apple as I've found all their products very reliable.
