1991 Peugeot (Boxer) Hymer camp52. Need Chassis outriggers for the back axle, both sides are rusted through. Anyone know of somebody in the Belfast area that could make and fit. Don't seem to be able to get parts earlier than 1994.

I thought they were float / stabilisers seen on many Polynesian boats. Guess not, because they would be a bit light on the ground in Belfast. Or in the sea for that matter!
Only know them as outriggers as that's what it said on the MOT Fail notice. They are box shaped supports that sit between the chassis and the rear axle, or they would support if the weren't rusted through.

Usually out riggers come out from the chassis to support the load that's on top,
I'd doubt you can buy off the shelf, I'd drop into the local engineering company and have a chat, get a few opinions as I know 3 local to me and they would anything if they get the time and correct info,
Remember to try and get the same grade of steel that's already there to keep the weight to a minimum, you don't need big heavy box Iron welded in where there was steel originally,
Unfortunatly you have to be a member of classic hymers to see the pictures. One of the members has rebuilt his out riggers. Not the same van style but the chassis should be. I'll leave the link here if there is no objection.
As Ally and Mad Max have posted, you can get this work done by a good local welder, don't waste your
Time and money looking for ready made parts!!
Good luck _ old vans always need something!
