Full time rear view camera

I have a full time camera on the back of the van (roof mounted mirror screen) which most of the is great but having used the van for the winter first time last few days found that it was less use than a chocolate teapot at times
On the motorway at night I get total white out on the screen with the mass of car headlights (in fact it also happens when the sun is directly behind the van as well) so has anybody found a solution
Did wonder if putting polarized film might help or does anybody know of a camera that can cope with this
Thanks folks
David

Most rear view cameras wether on permanently or not suffer from the same problem, spray on the lens is another.
