Hi, we are failry new to the motorhoming lark having bought our van conversion last year when my husband retired. We've been to Ireland twice before both times to the same place(Cavan) and always said we'd like to see more of the country. That's one of the reasons we bought the van as it's more suitable for narrower roads. (We have them here in Scotland too though) We're coming over late May for 5 weeks and are really looking forward to it. Any tips on unmissable places to visit would be very welcome!! :*

Welcome to Craic Mary, enjoy your visit.

Check out our usermap for some interesting and very cheap places to park. What part are you heading to this time?

Trip stops

We have tried to squeeze in just about everything on our plan. Wicklow, Kilkenny, Cork, Clare, Kerry, Mayo, Donegal and Tyrone, spending a minimum of three nights at each stop. We are really looking forward to it. We land at Belfast on 29th may and travel back to Scotland on 28th June. The only time we're not using a site is the first two nights when we're staying at my granny's old home in Co. Monaghan.

We're hoping for half decent weather - but on the other hand that will be a bonus! Normally we take our little black terrier with us but this time he's staying in kennels as he would totally freak out on the ferry. Gives us a bit more freedom too mind you.

It would be good to meet other members who were around. Ours is a dark green van conversion (makes a change from white or silver)

Cheers 8-)

If the rumours are true, June is to be a scorcher :)

If you are passing through Antrim you are more than welcome stopping a night or two with us.
