Did any of you watch that programme on CH4? Most Expensive Christmas.

One example: Family from over sea's own a house in London, they told the House manager to decorate the house for xmas with a budget of £250,000 in case they decided to visit London this xmas.

Another one, their daughter spied a house they fancied in London, worth millions, after searching through public records they realised they already owned it.

Or is it 1% or less. I would rather have my health what I've been seeing this past week. I know money is important but if we have enough to get by then we can enjoy it with our health.

Met a guy a few years ago (Celtic Tiger era) who worked in an antique jewellery shop in Dublin and who had a customer for whom they were asked to make up approx. 20 Christmas crackers each year, each containing an item such as a bracelet or watch valued at about €5,000 each.

Worse than that is that these were merely the small presents distributed on Christmas Eve at family dinner. Presents given in Christmas Day had included a VW Golf GTI for an 18 year old, a quarter of a winning racehorse, a mobile home, a safari, a cruise, a new kitchen and a 20 year lease on a holiday apartment with country club membership!

No names disclosed unfortunately.
