That is a very distinctive Motorhome, is it Rhd? if so there can't be many in the UK or Ireland so should stand out.
Hopefully it will be recovered soon and returned to its owner.

No, it belongs to a hire company I work with & yes it was new in April. Apart from the bed layout it is identical to the one I took to Ireland in May.

Yes RHD, which is why it is thought it might be on it's way to Ireland. Only other likelihoods could be Cyprus or Malta.
Surely not much market for RHD where it was "supposedly" stolen - Slovakia.

It wasn't hired for use abroad, so they are puzzled as to why the hirer is trying to tell them it was "stolen" so far away. They have a local Slovakian speaker liaising with the Police there to try and find out what is going on.

Call off the search (in Ireland at least).............

An update, the police in Slovakia have photographic evidence of the van parked up unattended in Levoca for 15 hours, they have said they have had 3 motorhomes "stolen" in the last 6 months from Slovakia, all being hire vehicles hired from the UK by Polish nationals.

So if any of you have contacts in hire companies warn them against hiring to Poles, especially those who want to collect from an airport.

Want a laugh?

The hire company have now received this email.

Quote
Hello, my name is Wojciech Kaczor and dated 09/10/2015 hired in your company car Renault Master until 10/24/2015 registration number YX15GCF. This car was not complemented by a gas cylinder and
his tires were in poor condition. Several times a buried and even had to stop driving because it was danger the safety of my family. From 16.10 to 17.10 i was rent rooms
in Slovak hotel. Unfortunately,in morning I can't see the car in the place where it was parked. It turned out that the vehicle was stolen. In Annex sending scans of documents from the Slovak police.
Unfortunately, to this day the car is not found. Car rental period 09.10 to 24.10, but on 16.10.2015 the last time I used a vehicle. That's why I'm count on arbitration and to recover money paid for bail and for unused time of renting the vehicle.
Please send scanned documents to this car, because I can't move the vehicle in
Slovakia. It turned out that the document with the period of the rental vehicle was insufficient for the Slovak Police. Please also send me the address where I must send the keys to the car. Please direct all correspondence to the address.

Thank you and best regards,
Wojciech Kaczor

He did NOT hire it for use outside the UK.
He would have been shown the cylinders (2 were fitted) and how to operate the Securmotion regulator.
The van is barely 6 months old.

Somehow someone who flew himself (and his family) to the UK to hire a van for UK use only has ended up having it stolen from a town in Slovakia less than 200miles from the address in Poland he gave on his hire agreement.
