Books on Aires - Camperstops

When heading to Europe which book should I get. ( I have ordered the ASCI 2016 book). There seem to be so many available and I'm not sure what the difference. I will be spending most of the time in France with possible forays into Germany, Switzerland and maybe Northern Italy. I see ones called 'All the Aires France',' All the Aires France North and South', 'Le Guide Officiel Aires de services Camping Car', 'Camperstops Europe' and lots covering Germany and Italy too. Does the Camperstops Europe cover all those countries in the same detail as the individual country books or am I better off buying a couple of books.

Any help would be appreciated.

We use 'all the aires', both north and south. I reckon it is invaluable and will last you several years before needing updated. We also use the ACSI discount book, which will recover its outlay in a couple of uses, assuming you are going low season.

The French book is useful but of course in French although it has symbols for each location. It duplicates most of the all the Aires book but it is in small type and with no photos. I bought 'le guide' a couple of years ago and consult it from time to time but I would not buy it again, although there is a version (available in the big supermarkets) that does all the campsites in France. I have considered buying it.

The camperstop Europe gets lots of good write ups on motorhomefacts, indeed some prefer it to all the Aires, but since we have not ventured beyond France yet, I have no experience of it.

Hope this helps,

Davy

I would have to say the same as Dave.
All the Aires for Aires and ACSI for campsites.

There are lots of Aires and campsites which are not in those books and still are good.

All the Aires France and All the Aires France North & South are the same, this year it was split into two books due to the size, it makes finding them a bit easier as the area is smaller.

I'm the same, just the two, and the aires book will last.

I have camperstops Europe which does cover Europe and it's very good but there is a lack of detail compared to all the aires which I've just got for Spain and Portugal. I used camperstops for Germany holland and Belgium and it was great but it does date very quickly or I should say go out of date quickly.
I now have the latest of both and I reckon I'll get my money back in a week or two.
All the aires Spain and Portugal has a map of LPG stations which handy for me with refillable gas bottles.
