Arrived at westlodge just at midnight....endured horrendous roads and torrential rain once our of cork...chilling with a bulmers and a samho...see you all in morning.
An excellent motorhome parking area, thanks to the efforts of members of the Phoenix Motorhome Club.
Don't forget to take a photo of the simple but 100% effective services bay which could be used as an example for other locations.
Enjoyed, still enjoying the weekend, one other van here tonight. It was good to be able to put faces to names, even if some of ye were ugly. Note to self: don't bring mushrooms to Craic meet people don't like them.

Well Liam there is one thing for sure, nobody can accuse you of not speaking your mind.
Brilliant that you are still enjoying yourself even without your ugly friends.
Anyone who attended the Bantry meet this weekend must surely have noticed the super weather.
Proof beyond doubt that nearby Skibbereen is a balmy haven of sun-kissed tranquility....such is the abundance of near-tropical weather that it often spills over to other less-deserving towns.
On this occasion Bantry, just down the road, was lucky to get a taste of the heat and sunshine we in Skibbereen take for granted every day of the year.....and thus the visitors were able to fully appreciate the truth of my past boasts!!!

Ye must have bought it down last year Liam, The wettest holiday I had in Ireland in years was in Wexford this summer
Well the drive back was definitely less bone jarring than the road down. …. Basically ignored all the advice, and went my own way, guess what, 14 minutes longer…. But both the van and myself arrived home in one piece and relatively unscathed.
Advice is great, but trust your own instincts.
It was great seeing everyone again….. there was one scruffy looking reprobate in a hobby, who hadn’t a good word to say about anything… but we forgave him cos he helped me tow down the sunshine

On a serious note, Big Thanks to Martin {Sprinter} for organising a brilliant meet, All at the West Lodge Hotel and everyone who attended the meet, many traveled considerable distances, it is this commitment that made the meet such a success.

Despite the torrential rain the whole site stayed dry, good surface, and flat. We all sat out in the brilliant sunshine on Saturday.
Great weekend, great place to stay at only €10 a night and hotel so close.
Thank you Martin for organising.
Was our second meet great craic and everyone were very welcoming thanks to Martin for organising a great meet and the wexford men for bringing the sunshine
WexFord overcame those Cork bluffer's again it was pissin untill they arrived. And they took the slow route home just to give them a bit more of an example of the sunny southeast.
Great to meet up with everyone new and old.Big thanks to Martin for organising the weekend and thanks to Dave(Daffy) for saving us from the bone shaking roads home
Yes, it was great to see some new faces. They were made welcome by everyone, and they were all great themselves, getting stuck into the thick of things. Hopefully they will come again in the future.
