Yeah I have and paid for it and it’s secure. I think they only let so many motorhomes in.

Doesn't look like there are any plans for Aires or even overnight parking as part of this investment in Howth.
Unfortunately a few selfish motorhomers ruined it for others by treating the carpark like a campsite.
As others have said, there are plenty of alternative locations where we and our money are welcome.

I drove to Howth last Wednesday, first time in several months. No campervans (or caravans) there at all. I notice there are signs up, (highlighting campers and caravans), saying ‘no parking between 8pm and 8 am.
No sure how long the signs are there. The place was so busy it would be hard to find a car parking space for a car, let alone a Campervan.

I think a submission should be made to the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine Michael Creed, TD stating that, in the interests of fairness and the ban on camping and camper vans being seen as discriminatory, that the ban should apply fairly and evenly to all vehicles during the aforementioned hours.
I'd like to see the response to that.

What about all the people who sleep aboard boats in Howth and other marina? Health and safety would surely dictate that they shouldn't be there either. Remember the Minister is responsible for the entire harbour.

Foreign National fishing crew were allowed to live in Vans, Caravans, and Motorhomes on the pier at the same time as the harbor authority were sticking notices on visiting Motorhome windows, with the full knowledge of the minister and the department of the marine. Fishing boat owners can do what the like and make whatever mess they want without any sanction.
Folks, we have forgotten about Howth ages ago and dontngo there any longer. Each week end we spend in the region of €200 in the market and eating out. We go now to Malahide and for €10 can have secure overnight parking with loads of restaurants and shopping within walking distance and also the Dart. We have forgotten about Howth it’s a bye gone age as far as we are concerned_
