Sneaky b******s what's the betting that the price will rocket when we all head back out on the road.
Anyone can advertise it cheep when they dont have any or no-one van buy it .
Ok its my turn to jump on you.
What the feck were you doing out buying diesel, I suppose you filled the van up too.
Where was it ? I will need to make a doctors appointment near it tommoow.
Martin I do provide an essential service.... for breakdowns.
Tbh it’s not something I like. Going into doctors and nurses houses to fix issues. Tbh I am nervous as feck in their places
Diesel also 1.20/litre in South Tipp / West Waterford. Don't mind small operators looking to compensate as sales volumes have dropped so much but local Tesco has been one of most expensive selling at 1.22 last week and this was not an exception.
Go figure

Back in the '60,s the oil companies subtly change us from buying the quantity by volume to buying the quantity by currency.
How did they do it ? , anyone remember Greenshield Stamps and getting 10 (or whatever it was) for a Pound or 50 for a fiver.
So we all lost the sensitivity to price of a gallon/litre

Youve probably hit the nail on the head, that never occurred to me and your spot on .
In the late 70ies Esso used to give out drinking glasses with every 20 quid.
It used to really piss off the staff down the road from where I worked when I would buy 90 gallons diesel and tell them to hold my free glasses untill I had a carton.they would only break rolling around in the truck untill I got home.
I got very popular around party time as I culd supply box's of glasses.
Where is that filling station at on the seven mile straight?
Probably in his yard selling laundered!
I used to drive on oil tanker and one of my customers took 4500 litres of ribena every week. His main gripe was that cat litter was costing him 1p per litre, and by the way he delivered it to an unknown filling station in Antrim
I cannot see much changing anytime soon, when you talk fuel you have oil companies waiting to rip you off and then publish their profits.
Then there is the local government sitting silently clapping their hands at the reward they are getting.
What chance have we got?
I should start to get worried. I'm changing the car and getting rid of a nice TDI that can get 60mpg (if I drive like a saint). I've a 2.0 turbo petrol hot hatch ordered. I'll get to know the staff in the local petrol station......
I got petrol for the lawnmower last night. 5.5 litres cost me €10......

Have you got a delivery date? If not, you may not see it until next year when hopefully all this sh*t is calmed down.
