I don't care if he defiantly says it or definitely says it either ;)

Applegreen on the M1 as it has the space, a Burger King and a play area. Its as good as any especially with having the space to park a motorhome.

Applegreen services in Lusk on M1 just north of Dublin Airport is your best bet as FC has said there are no stops on M9 ,M7,Naas Rd or M50 except maybe Browsbarn at Citywest turn off , i cant remember junction no.

Sun cream, beer, wine, spirits and mixers, plastic glasses, sun glasses, silly hat, fairy lights toilet roll and wipes, I think that's it.

First timers at Vantastival who will also have 3 children under 6 with us.

Hope to get a space in the family campsite but won't get there until late Friday evening. Will there be much availability by then?

Also how big are the parking spaces? I assume there so space for awning?

Line up looks great but I'm wondering how feasible it is to bring the children along?

Sorry for all the questions!!

Hi Adi,

My understanding is it is first come first served for hook up but here should be ample parking.
There will be loads of kiddies at the festival (of all ages!) and they have plenty to entertain them.
You will have to use your judgement on how late you bring your kiddies out, but we all do that.
Hope that helps.

Hi, Was just reading the General Info and see there is no glass allowed on site and that all alcohol etc must be transferred to plastic bottles. I had read through this quickly before but incorrectly assumed this was just in the gig areas or tent camping areas and not the motorhome campsites. So does that mean all glasses have to be removed from the campervan? I was expecting to pour wine and beer into glass bottles when heading to gigs but not in the actual campsite surely? Especially a festival in celebration of the campervan lifestyle?!

Oh you wee festival virgins ;)

Glass is never allowed at a Festival.

It will be grand in your van. Just don't take any glass near the bands or away from your van. Put it in plastic bottles, Bubba Kegs or similar.

P.S. Ken, being searched is a condition of entry and a right of the organisers. Probably not happen at Vantastival but happens at the bigger festivals.

That's great thank you! Didn't want to have to pour bottles of wine into coke bottles before we'd even left- I'd really feel like a teenager again! Don't mind doing it for the gigs but not all weekend.

Have played at it a few times, about 50% of musicians even get their instruments and instrument cases searched.....

Hi guy's,

Paul left a black bag after himself at New Year and was wondering who it was I think Pat it could have been you who picked it up for him.
Anyway anyone has it could they bring it, its a battered old thing but he uses it for festivals!
Thanks in advance.

Thank you, Ally. It wasn't at all controversial so I'd have been surprised.

Enjoy the weekend. Lots of my mates playing. STNC play main stage on Friday night and acoustic area Saturday early evening with a cool acoustic set.

But I can't impress on you all more to go see little Kev Sheridans loop set at van halla, I think it's 7pm on Friday. (????) - Kev is extraordinarily talented...
