So this afternoon I installed this unit in the camper. I have it wired to the solar load output. I put a 5 amp fuse in the box also.

Gavin that is good but unfortunately your motorhome will probably be like the rest of ours, not going very far over the next few months.
I will be more than happy to stand corrected but anyway good luck with your new date.

I’m seriously thinking of making my car Sorn too as it is £300 road tax per year and it has not moved in a week and I can completely work from home. I can just share my wife’s car for all the trips we do now and even that is just to the shop 1 mike away as a last resort

Ah, I forgot about the e-bike and trailer! Good thinking. Doesn’t count towards one of my permitted once a day exercises either as I will be cheating the whole way up the road!

Then looking to add fog/angel eye DRLs twin units (Fog in the middle of the light and angel eye around this, only problem again have to drill a 64mm hole to mount them.

David
[/quote]

Well they are in fitted and working
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-5…2749.l2649

together with a DRL relay

Took me about a week longer than I thought, first of all having bought a new 64mm hole cutter (Before the lights arrived) discovered that was the outside measurement (thankfully on a test piece of timber) so ordered a 56mm. Separate switch mounted in cab for fog light, but turns out switch has a fault that the LED indicator light does not work so waiting for another.

Next thoughts heading towards a forward facing camera and front parking sensors will let you know after I decide which.
Question for today
Can you have two wireless cameras into one monitor (It does have two imputs) or will they interfere with each other and will have to be one wireless and one hard wired.

By draining everything down does that mean you are getting ready for the winter?😋

sat in the van this afternoon, "found" a 15 pack of carlsberg at the bottom of a locker- it was nice and cold so i sat out in the garden and trimmed my beard and had a few tins!
Well- who is cutting your hair then?
Check list then - cassette is empty and clean.
grey waste is empty.
there is still some water in the tank so i might just shower in the van till its done.
Van is SORN ,
Back to -"learning to be content " , --- there is an awful lot of jobs need done in the house.
Do not want to think about that.
The van roof is very dirty.

While passing it today I noticed a tree branch rubbing off one the side windows, so I decided to take it for a small spin along a private forest road.

Very tidy looking job John, also that was very convenient being able to site the new battery right behind the origional one. The extra battery will really make some difference when off grid.
Hope you get to try it out sooner rather than later.

Cheers Norman.....Going by our last van we had similar amperage in batteries installed but 100 watts less in solar power and never had an issue with available power, So this set - up should be more than enough for what we use power wise

As someone who uses their motorhome throughout the 12 month of the year I have for the first time sorn'd our motorhome.
It was due for tax renewal 1st April but with the present crisis I cannot see it being out anytime soon, once that changes it will be taxed and out again.

Nothing
I needed a break from adding "improvements"

So I cut the grass, rebuilt a gate that was falling to bits with some left over decking planks, and cleaned out the gutter over the front porch.

After that I was cream crackered

Installed a black tank flush system, left it for the silicone to cure, tested it and all good. Nice to have working level indicators again, however, it looks so easy on YouTube on a nice driveway in the nice warm sun. It's a bit different lying on your back under the MH in a gravel yard, with freezing fingers in a howling wind....😂
