If you would like to see more of her let me know. Yes I iknow that shes not a true "Motorhome" but we love her all the same

In case you were wondering she is a 2006 Trigano Tribute based onthe old Ducato

I finally fitted a dirt/mud gard to the front of the step,

My hab door is just behind the rear wheel and when driving on a wet damp day the step used to collect a dustpan of s**t which would stick to the bottom of the little shoes and then dragged in side,

A square of Perspex 4 little bolts and a saw did the trick, it was one of them jobs that was always on the long finger and then on a damp day it would spring to mind,

Next job is to fit a full set of mud flaps to all the arches,  (on the long finger again) :(

Evening all,

Mine is with Simon at LTS for a bit of resealing (fingers crossed) after I found a bit of damp with the craic damp meter.

Getting the door rehung also as it is very stiff and fouls the door surround slightly.

Fitted air suspension to the back axle of my twin wheel ford transit (rimor),ordered last Tuesday, not in stock!,Austin from DRIVE RITE ordered and delivered on Friday evening, they were fitted in about two hours, very handy to do,the rubber bump stop was taken off the chassis rail and everything just bolted into place. The difference is unbelievable ,no more rolling on corners when the garage is loaded for a trip ( 6 ft overhang on the back axle),smoother ride ,sorry I did not do it long ago,the system was supplied by Drive rite ltd. blanches town Dublin, Austin is the man to talk to, very helpfull even rang back to see how I got on.

Sorry to hear that, but at least if you park beside me we will have matching bumpers - I reversed into a 4x4, luckily very little damage.

Is there much extra weight involved, John!
I would be a bit concerned due to using up valuable pay load capacity if the kit was too heavy.

no extra weight pat,in fact drive rite stress the fact that the system weighs no more than the bump stop which it is replacing ,the total cost was700 euro,i brought it for a spin with it at 40psi and the differance was unblieveable,it can be pumped up to 90psi for a full load in the garage, when we meet up a a craic meet i can show you the setup, but as i said am very pleased, all i need now is a bit of sunshine lol

Waterpump!!!!!!!
I hadn't much free time since Halloween, but went out to run the van on Wednesday night. I called in with a friend and on the way back noticed that I had no heat, and the temperature gauge was rising fast. I pulled in and added a gallon + of water. Next morning I checked and had lost 2 litres, and upon checking I noticed it leaking behind the pump. At the time the forecast was for frost from Friday so that evening I added 3 litres of anti freeze and ran the engine for half an hour to mix the anti freeze into the mix so as to save the engine block from cracking in a frost. A new pump in the states was £12.00, but the delivery and tax was a further £72.00. As I poised my finger over the buy it now button I remembered I had bought one for my wee spare engine, 4.3 V6 and checked if it was the same.
So to make a short story long I fitted it today in 2 1/2 hours, with only cost being the skin on my knuckles.

Had to replace water cap as it wouldn't lock. But took the barrel out of the old one and put it in the new cap so still the same amount of keys :)

I made this from the old cap............ not the tidiest but works a treat :)

We had a problem with ours last year, could not get it off, it just kept turning around, so had to drill a small hole through the cap and put a nail in it to lock the two parts together to get it off.

I couldn't work out how to get the barrel out so I went to Hagans and you need a special key to put in it.

The vans up for mot in early January and needs brakes all around, also bought service parts and an extra oil filter for spares. Look how much cheaper everything is in the states (prices in sterling)

CENTRIC Brake Pad £ 6.06 £ 0.00 1 £ 6.06
CENTRIC Brake Shoe £ 11.60 £ 0.00 1 £ 11.60
K&N Oil Filter £ 2.47 £ 0.00 2 £ 4.94
WIX Air Filter £ 2.75 £ 0.00 1 £ 2.75
All parts 25.35

However, 40.64 carriage and 13.20 vat
Still reasonable at 79.19 delivered to my door by Friday.
