I never get concerned about MOT.
Basically I pay the tester £30 to tell me if my vehicle is roadworthy. Cheap as chips

My one passed on Friday, then it threw a fan belt on Saturday, had to be lifted off the road, it was delivered to my buddy's place after lunch yesterday, it needed two pullies and two belts, he called me, this afternoon at 4,30 to come and collect it, I got back home and Parked up by 6.30, great have it for the weekend in Mondello now, another problem now is I've spent the last hour trying to find what I did with the keys. 🤔😡😱.

It has been one of those weeks.

Two good thing about the whole thing,
1. AXA and James Travers recover in Kilkenny,
Excellent service, even if the operator didn't take the details down correctly.

2. Our Buddy Robbie, in Ashford Motor Services, had the parts ordered and the job sorted in 24 hours. Even if he does think Motorhomes are a pain in the butt. 👏

Yes, his normal charge is £35 but he must like me as he always gives me a fiver discount.

Better system as long as they’re honest, over here your pride an joy is taken into a big shed by people you don’t know and have never seen before, the door closed and all sorts of “inspections “shall we say is administered to your vehicle, sometimes the mysterious man comes out the other end the big shed and says ,FAIL,there’s a bill for hundreds of pounds book a retest, bye. having said that the vehicles have to be safe

for a car test if you want to get one quick, the answer is to simply phone them, there is nearly always some available, people just accept the long wait on the online application.

Also, search one or two of the counties surrounding you. I found Waterford to be very busy but a quick spin to Wexford got me an appointment in half the time

You won't look back with the lithium battery installed, I have a 150ah one fitted...it was a game changer... I can use the coffee machine or air fryer now with the inverter when off grid....Happy days

If your existing charging kit doesn't have a LiFePO4 setting THIS will do all three jobs of B2B charging, MPPT solar charge controller and charging the engine battery once the leisure battery is full.
I have the 30 amp version but planning to change it for the 50amp unit.
The quoted ampage is the sum 15amps or 25amps from the alternator plus up to 15amps or 25amps from the solar, depending on the model.
The units also act to prevent a LiFePO4 battery from sucking too much current from the alternator which could result in premature alternator failure.

Looks like a nice piece of kit and ideal for someone that needs all three charging options for a new lithium install...
my 240v battery charger luckily had a lithium setting so I didn't need to change that when adding the lithium battery and I installed the 30amp B to B victron charger for charging while driving from A to B as my van is a euro 6, the alternator was shutting down charging the hab battery when the vehicle battery was full ...its great to have the option now of using 240v coffee machine etc with the inverter also installed when off grid and the lithium provides ample power to do that....I only had room to fit 1 x 150ah lithium but its a game changer compared to the 80ah AGM I had before.

Thanks for the tip. Already have a charge controller which claims it covers all batteries. Don't think my solar charges the engine battery once the leisure battery is full, but have never checked. Plan to use the included bluetooth app to monitor the LiFePO4 battery once it's in to make sure not sucking too much from the alternator. If it is, time for an upgrade.

Exact same as ours. It runs perfectly on the 1500watt pure sine inverter. A basket of chips knocks about 30 amps off the batteries.
