So with the pipe installed in the spout lid, you would have to unscrew the lid when removing the cassette when emptying?

No. There is a plug and socket system with o- rings. So you detach the hose and plug in the stopper. See it hanging on left in one picture. In the old system it as attached where the safety blow out valve was. These new cassettes are vented differently through the bottom. You would still have detached and plugged in a stopper.
No chemicals. No smells. Empty in any septic tank/ public toilet facilities. A must if you are off grid. IMO

It's ok Norman, we have the seedlings propagated and when they are ready to be planted out, MHCC members will get first Dibs.
just remember the tree takes around 30 years to mature and bear fruit, and you have to leave the notes to wither for the first year.

Got the big step ladders out to check the security of the solar panel. The roof was fairly clean, but I decided to give it a quick water wash. Needless to say I ended up giving it the full clean including stiff brush, dish washing brush, bottle brushes etc into all the places were any sign of green algae was formed. Took the whole afternoon and that’s without doing sides and front and back. Well that’s tomorrow sorted. The solar panel? Well it was screwed and glued by Donagheys when I bought the van and added the panel.

One of the issues I have is a lack of USB ports for charging and the other I have is that the retro fitted LED's in the original spotlights do not give the best light. I found this elegant solution to both of these issues, a dimmable spotlight with two USB ports. I swapped one out yesterday and the the test went well so I will be replacing all my spots this afternoon.

Does your SOG not fit into the cassette spout then Martin? I’m thinking about one for myself. Although with it being a panel van, it might not be worth the bother due to the hassle of drilling out a metal panel for extraction.

Different set ups for different cassettes. The older c200 cassette is connected where the pressure release valve is. You remove that and fit the coupler provided. Does the same job, just connected to a different part of the cassette.

It is well worth the hassle imo. No chemicals and no chemical or other smell. Except when you are emptying.... then the smell is a more natural

one. Still well worth it for me. I can’t suffer the chemical smell from the toilets.

Jason as Daffy said there are 3 versions for the different cassette's .
Have you an outside access door or do you remove the cassette from the inside? either way its only a 36 mm hole and there is a version that vents up trough the roof. I use two cassette's so I ordered extra connections fir the second one.

The second cassette just needs the kit for the vent as Martin said. Only small money comparatively. I used my last one that way for years and it was no hassle. There is a floor vent option as Martin said.
I always empty mine into the septic tank at home when I return. Saves searching for somewhere, especially if after being off grid.

Yes like you, I have a Puroflo septic tank system in Wex, and only use all Eco produce, washing machine, dish washer, washing up, and all household cleaners, I don't like, even the green Cassette fluid going into it.

Tommy....I recently fitted a 320 watt panel on a mates rapido....same thing...nothing. It ended up being dodgy connectors that come factory fitted... I snipped them off and used good ol connector block... Hey presto... All good

No didnt think to check it, lesson learned. I checked and double checked everything else including marking the plus wire from the paned with a sharpie so I wouldnt connect it wrong. Thanks Panda but they are going to take it back. I am a bit pissed off as I had to send the mppt back as well

Put a multi meter set to DC Volts on the pair of wires that come from the panels.You should get around 20VDC. If meter is reading minus 20V you have to reverse your meter leads
The red lead on your meter is the positive.You have a solar regulator I presume that bring the voltage down to 12VDC. Don't short out the leads from the panel as you will blow a fuse. Make sure you fuse the positive wire before the regulator with about a 30A fuse. See how you get on. Check box at back of panels to see have you juice there.

You can also insert your meter as an ammeter across the panel connectors, if your meter can measure DC amps. That’s a good test if you want to see what it does at various tilt angles.
