I was thinking of a couple of days at Wavecrest caravan park Cahirdanial Kerry but have now changed my mind as last winter they did ACSI camping card rates but not this year the ACSI rate ended at the end of October. Now it's 29.00 per night for a motorhome and 2 adults plus a Euro each for a 4 minute shower. Where do they get these prices? It makes no sense to me to charge ACSI rates Sept and Oct and full rate after.

€25 per night incl electricity MH 2 adults was what it cost me a few weeks ago. Expensive for this time of year, but at least they are open.
Tir na hOige in Easkey I'm fairly sure is open all year
Thanks for that,
I had a look on the website and I cannnot figure if they are open all year or not,
Have you stayed in winter?
Haven't stayed in Winter, was there for the first time in July (found it in the app)
It's part of the Community Centre which is definitely open all year.

Sent them an email earlier, replied they are open, just call the numbers on the website if heading that way.
Hoping to head west over the school holidays ourselves if possible.
This time of year if your batteries are in good order and solar adds a bit during the day and you use your own onboard facilities who needs a campsite, especially at €30p/n or more. After all, it's unlikely you'll be putting out the sun lounger and tables/chairs to dine outside.
Some private ones probably, but public ones like Cobh, Bantry, Castletownbere and private ones like pub/hotel/restaurant provided parking areas etc. are open all year round.
There are also tolerated parking areas like Dungarvan etc.

I used Bandon once when touring. It didn't seem as if it was used a lot but the folk there were very welcoming. I think's it Bandon that the person that started it is a Motorhomer and she wanted to keep it or move it to another place, she was in contact with myself at the time, something went on anyhow, but it had to be removed.
As Pat says, we need to use what we have or lose them.
I am currently at Riverside Farm and Marina Enniskillen and have had it confirmed that they are open all year. 12.50 without hook up 15.00 with ehu. 1.00 for a shower.
I don’t think the toilet is a major issue. Most of us have our own. Getting the name out and about takes a bit of time. Hopefully some people traveling that direction will call in and start putting the word out.
Was passing Portrush Aires today and there were 4 motorhomes in it.
With the present situation I would not be to sure how long it will stay open, only thing is the campsites are now closed so they may keep it open to keep some life in the town.

In all fairness, I can’t see what it would serve to not have all the facilities available at Portumna, as it is, and always was within a either a 2km or 5km radius of potential residents and passerby’s, let alone within a county or nationwide district of tourists. It was the last place I stopped at prior to the most recent lockdown restrictions, and I might very well find myself there next weekend.
