Big big thanks to a fellow craic'er, Norman (NTG), he had taken out a 400 x 400 skylight to fit Air Con and is donating it to us for the RV, it's a "brand new 400x400 Thule omnivent rooflight with extract and intake fan"

Re: My new RV (not quite a Blag restoration, but a bit of one)
Pump came today, all fitted and working with no leaks
We had a couple of broken waste pipes, one from the kitchen area and one from the bathroom sink and shower. I fixed these but couldn't test as the pump wasn't working and had to drain the system, tested today and a complete success

Walter the RV got attacked today with cleaning products, very very pleased with the outcome. Bed all fixed in rear, french bed, and new mattress and bed board added.
Mechanic never turned up to do the brake pipes - hopefully next week and then we can re-test it.
SWMBO is adding the stuff that SWMBO's add, of no practical use whatsoever, but seemingly the items are very important.

I’m hoping for word on the fridge on Monday... if I have any news, I’ll let you know Re your new to you fridge
Thanks.
A new option opened up yesterday for our own fridge, someone I know said they will regas it, he works on Air con/fridges etc - I explained what it is doing and he said "yeah that sounds like it needs regassed"
So maybe a lease of life left for it yet
As much as I appreciate your offer, it would be excellent to have the original fridge working again, it's american size.
I'll let you know.

Norcold Gas is dangerous, at least the old stuff is, don't ask me why but its explosive and poisenous, but there are replacements. So not all is lost yet for the existing fridge, in the words of the gasser man "I've not met a fridge yet that can't be fixed" then I went onto explain its not a compressor fridge, this didn't seem to bother him.
We'll see

Re: My new RV (not quite a Blag restoration, but a bit of one)
Air recycling from the vent on the right.... this is positioned below a seat (ducting still to be fitted in this photo), which has vents to inside, but is also where the furnace used to be so also has Air coming from an outside vent.
I'm a bit worried, and perhaps those that have them can confirm, that the Air circulating vent on the right does not have some sort of filter over it.
Does the fan at the back not get full of dust?
On my 2000 it draws air through the side cover across the circuit board and into the fan and yes it can get dusty, I put a gauze from an old hoover over the holes in the cover when I fitted my new one.
I would put some type of filter material under the seat where it's going to draw the air from especially on the outside supply. you'll know the ones we used to use on the mini carb instead of the standard air filter, haveing an outside supply is great when you want to get fresh cool air circulating, you can't really do it on the 2000 model.
