A bit of a rinse to get rid of the green certainly helps.
I only saw this now. Nice find Ally. Is it a new toy or are you going to flip it? Rare to find one without rotten skirts. Looks mint in this pic.
It's staying, I absolutely love it. So much fun to drive. It's MOTd but hasn't been taxed in years and it ended up of the system, currently in a row with DVLA to keep its original registration, I think I'm winning.
I even have the original tax book but that wasn't good enough, they even suggested I trailer it to the South of England to a Suzuki owners club so they could verify it and then they would let me keep the same registration. I said sure I'll take it to a local Suzuki dealer, nope, it had to be an owner's club and there isn't one in NI.
I then found out the club in England was for Motorbikes. That stumped them!
Longer story shortened, I finally got talking to someone senior and have sent all the information away with a letter and I will hopefully receive a new tax book for it soon, then I can tax it and drive it
Managed to get a hard top for it in England which my son is bringing over at Xmas
It has never been welded and on first inspection it needed nothing. It was amazing! Unfortunately I had it over the pit and adding some waxoyl and I noticed a split in that bloody dreaded body Schutz
I tore it off and found some rot at the bottom of a back arch, it's only tiny but was disappointing. I've welded it up now and have inspected every inch of the car and all the rest is excellent.
I'm now looking to see the best way to remove the Schutz completely and then waxoyl it. It seems petrol is the best, but what a messy job that will be!!
