Just love anything by Daniel ODonnell. Another good Donegal man and they can't be beaten.
Jack, call over and I'll administer electroconvulsive therapy on you....... I don't have the proper gear but I'll hook you up to the 415v 3 phase supply and give you a couple o shots.
We must get that urge to listen to DOD removed before permanent damage is done.... I do however fear alas, it may be too late y

I bought a new turntable a couple of years back, been building my collection of vinyl back up since- seem to have collected quite a few Dylan albums second time round! Desire is great but I do like Blonde on Blonde...

Yep the price of new vinyl is ridiculous but to be fair the quality of the pressing is fantastic, I've got some Dylan, Joni, Stevie Nick etc in new pressings and they are excellent, when I put one of my ancient ones on you can really hear the difference.....

What's your opinions on vinyl? I know its been making a come back for a few years now, but can it last? I don't think so. The digital era is here to stay and streaming will become to norm I reckon.
Still have all my Buddy Holly vinyl

I think the great thing now is the choice... I use Spotify all the time, ( it's great in the MH too!) and CDs in the car, but there is something nice about taking the album out of the sleeve, putting it on the deck, and sitting back with a glass of something and reading the sleeve notes again while listening to whatever grabs your fancy- and I've a few Miles Davis albums, and vinyl is definitely in keeping with the mood of them. But in my opinion, it's a mixed-media world now, we should all just live in peace

There's a warmth with vinyl that you don't get with cds ,that little cracking at the start, but what puts me of is the price ,but then anything I would want on vinyl I have, glad I hung on to my records ,my son says that I was born At the right time in music

I love NAD equipment, but got rid of all the big stuff years ago.
I now have a pure digital NAD AMP going to two PSB speakers (made by same Canadian company as NAD), blue-toothed from my phone which plays Googles Play music.
If I may say so myself, it's very impressive.

It another has blank labels a vandergraph generator album with the poster insert signed by a band member only 10 were signed and no one knew which albums they were in you don't get that with cds or down loads plus on some albums you can play backwards to get messages can't do that with cds

I like the sound of your setup Ally, I have an Audio-Tecnica turntable with a Sony amp and speakers, but it also has a Jonga Bluetooth adapter so I can stream Spotify etc- currently listening to a great blues playlist, perfect Friday listening...
