The new Land Rover Defender for 2020 is a car, a real let down.

It's a Free lander called Defender

Supposedly the 300tdi is the best old engine, except for the one I got.

Saw a long W/B one yesterday with a pop top roof.
It looked great compared to the new VW California .there was a rainbow of them around, with all the gadgets including self levelling suspension,
( which is very useful when going off road and under supermarket barriers, apparently )

Second vote on the 300tdi.. Did a fair bit of homework at the time and it seemed that the 300tdi with the r380 gearbox had ironed out a lot of the issues!

All depends on cost. I need to study more, some are very big money and others a lot cheaper. I do fancy a LWB some call them station wagons.

But I think the only reason for that is because I had the chance at one many moons ago. 110?

Well I bought..... something (if all goes to plan) , turns out it isn't a defender, but it's old, spent most of its life in Spain but is a NI "thing", 25k from new and just happened by chance that it came up.

Maybe pick it up tomorrow or next day. I'll post more information and pics then :)

If it was a series III or 2a it would have been 109, those numbers refer to how many inches the wheel base is, early swb were 80, then 88 and later 90, I believe there is also a 130 LWB available in later models.
