Got to episode 5 of 2nd series of Stranger Things and couldn’t take any more. Not really our thing. Just watched The Obsession and enjoyed it. Psychological thriller.
Another option with Netflix is that you can download content at home on your Wifi for offline viewing. We usually fill a tablet to the brim with shows before we head off somewhere then you don't have to worry about patchy mobile Internet. An absolute must for the kids cartoons for the long drives. Then if we're somewhere with free WiFi (and we remember to) we'll delete anything we've watched and add a few more.
For the kids cartoons on the drives we have a headrest mount for the tablet but for sound we hook it up to one of those small Bluetooth speakers which we hang on their seat between them. It means you can have the sound on the speaker low enough that they can hear it but you can't really hear it in the front and you can even play your own music on the van head unit. Everyone is a winner.
That's a great feature. Reminds me of when my kids were small, we'd record the Cartoon Network on to 4 hour VHS tapes at half speed, a whole 8 hours for an entire week . Then travelling through France they'd see absolutely nothing outside of the motorhome .

Done that on the Chromebook before heading to Spain two years ago, funny I always forget about the option before heading away in van. But not that many times we can't get data these days.

We tend not to watch too much TV when away anyway but you can certain that the few nights we do there is going to be no data coverage Always handy to have a fall back, plus saves eating into your data allowance too much.

I have GOBinge with Three, so Netflix doesn't use any of my data allowance. I'll be doing away with that shortly though and using my unlimited Three SIM and router that comes with Homefi.
