You can only use the fm ones in the uk as long as they transmit within a certain bandwidth, the am ones caused interference with emergency services radios although that was a few years ago

It is just a cheapo one that I bought several years ago, the sort that you send it a message and it sends one back to you, must have had it now well over 10 years and been in two cars and now its third motor home.
The van is actually fully fitted with a HAL Locate
http://www.hal-locate.eu/ but at over £100 per year it will remain inoperative. I did check re insurance discount and mine did not recognise it

I got a cheap one in Halfords 5e,working great, you have to run a live and earth up too it,i fitted it to the side window easy enough.
I tried one on my last van and it was like an ashtray on a Honda 50
Hope your one does the job

The Decals on both sides at the rear were both badly marked, as if someone had used the wrong/too strong detergent when washing.(Hard to see in the pic), before I bought it. It had been bugging me since. So today I took the bull by the horns, so to speak, and after talking to Ally at Shepherds rest, I removed the decals both sides took my time and I'm happy with the result. Some T Cut and wax and you'd hardly think there were decals on it to start of with.

Hateful job getting to it - but changed the gearbox oil and what a difference in transmission!
Changed the engine oil also but not much of a difference to experience - just conscious that it is of good order.
Getting ready for a run to Cork next week
