Looks great, Jamie
Take care the first time you go up the ramp of the ferry though, could get messy if it is too low.

Yep made it on and off the ferry. I was a bit cautious after a camper turned up here earlier in the year with a scratched grey waste tank and damaged grey drain tap after the same ferry trip.
The tank is higher than some of the other bits in the same location. I will take extra care on rutted roads and check the tightness of the release nut on a regular basis.

Mind you it would have helped protect your rear in the event of a slow 'bump'. Is this not the reason why some motorhomes have a rear bar fitted.

I did know an old driver who used to get a towbar fitted to his cars to 'help' him park!!

Looking at it from a different angle it uses up valuable payload, Davy.

Bought two of these for the garage (l-shaped), an absolutely brilliant product. Was originally considering one for an awning light but decided against it as wasn't sure how it would cope in the rain at 60mph!

LED - 3 x AA batteries - PIR

No need to worry, the light very very easily lifts out of the housing, can also be used as a torch. Going to buy another one for awning light, they come with screws or sticky pad to secure on, great light of them. A note on the dash to remind me to remove the awning one before driving off will have to written :)

I got mine from HERE

Have to agree with you members who say the towbar protects the back of the van but on the other hand I am carrying about something I am not using so it's now here for sale.

took delivery of our newly upholstered cushions! before and after shots! and yes I've taken the advertising approach of adding stuff that wasn't in the first photo to make the second one look more appealing overall :D

Last year, the MOT man flagged up that, whilst my brakes were working ok, the discs were all at the limit wear wise. Also we found that while cruising around the continent at 80 mph, the stock van brakes really were being tested (especially coming down out of the Alps). So I had decided to up the size/spec of the brakes from one of the "faster/heavier" models. I know someone else on here had talked about improving the braking effort. Also I heard of a local company supplying coated/grooved/drilled discs at reasonable money, MTB brakes from Campsie. So a bit of an upgrade performance wise and cosmetically. The pics have been narrowed by the forum, so apologies. I know the red hammerite won't be to everyone's tastes!!! lol. Total cost under £500, where the discs needed changing anyhow.

Totally emptied the van ready to trade in next week
I have even re-blacked all the plastic rubber on the outside, cleaned it inside and out, took off some of the "extras" I had fitted and it looks great
Maybe I should not be getting rid

We decided on a Autosleeper "Dorset" which is a special addition of the Autosleeper Symbol 3 years old last November.
As usual for me a bit different as it is Gold coloured.
