I now have Aire and Aire De Service with different icons. Obviously I haven't been to them all, so on release might need you guys to look through and then correct any that are not in right category.
We now have options for adding campsites and Places, EHU, Water, showers, pet friendly and a lot more.
The map will open at your location and will only load what is around you, you can then search or move to any area and those places will load..
A new favourites option has been added also.
Images can be added to each place.
A full web version will be available to use on your PC, MAC, Chromebook etc
Any help.
What is an Aires de Service?
The word means an area of service. Simply, they are areas that have been set aside for motorhome and campervan travellers to either use the services (water, electricity and waste disposal), for motorhome parking or to stay overnight. Not all “aires” allow overnight stopovers, but quite a few do.
There are three different types
A services area without parking
A parking area without services
A parking area with services.
If the development isn't too far down the road why not just an area for motorhomes with a tick boxe for parking and others for services plus others for lighting cctv etc.
The facility present can be shown by simply entering a tick in the relevant box.
APP news:
The app is online (secret location for now), doing some editing, small bug fixes etc, adding data, making text clearer, loads of small things. Fingers crossed for tonight
Here is a strange one, when I open Google maps for general use on my phone, the parking app map is what is shown.?
And you can click onto any of the locations get the review info and directions.?

Nothing worse than trying to 'push water uphill', I feel your pain. Hopefully, the new app will appear at some stage, the old one was a great asset to us all.
I've tried the the map above but can't see any locations.
You had put the old version of the map on the site while we were waiting for the new app.
I can't find it at all.
Could you link it again please so I can bookmark it this time
It will be better than nothing.
Thanks

If you go to Location, type in a town name and search then press home, the places that are on it might appear, but as I say it's not finished.
I have not decided what to do with the map yet, but I'll make a decision in a day or two.

Unfortunately it is not good news. The app will not be anytime soon, after problems between myself and the developer I pulled the plug. I am not sure if I will even go ahead with it at all, need a few days to think about it.
Its been a stressful year, after my friend and app developer passed away due to a very short illness, I tried and tried to keep the app alive, when I found a new developer I thought "ok lets do this again" - he's also a great guy, but problems meant it is, at least at the moment, stopped production.
I'll make the map available in some sort of format soon and I have a few idea's for it, so keep watching, who knows what will happen next.
We have came to a solution, the app is back on track!!! - our differences were settled over a pint - right, please no more stress!! Have a good weekend everyone
