This Ring charger looks really interesting as it's cheaper than the Sterling equivalent and contains also the MPPT solar controller which itself can cost the best part of 100 quid as a stand alone unit.
Do you know is the Ring smart enough to also topup the starter battery when solar is connected? If yes that's another £25-30 saved compared having to buy yet another standalone charger.
My van has following chargers many of which can be replaced by this one box:
Sterling 1260BB battery to battery (starter to leisure 60A)
Epever 1230 MPPT solar controller (leisure 30A)
Numax Connect and forget (mains to leisure 10A) *
Votronic 3065 battery to battery (leisure to starter 2A to keep the van battery topped up via solar and mains) **
* You still need something like this if you want to be able to charge using mains
** Ring probably has this functionality

Re: Ring RSCDC30 DC To DC Smart Battery Charger 12v 30amp
Kit arrived last week (fitting tomorrow) - everything there I could possibly need. Very handy as it saves me all those previous questions on cable size
