I rang the council offices last month stating that I was visiting Antrim with my motorhome and asked them where I could park it. I was pushed around various sections before I was directed to the one that dealt with the campsite. Told them that I didnt need full facilities and wasn't prepared to pay their inflated prices. Might as well have peed into the wind.

Tell them you are just wanting to park in a bay which fits the van close by, you do not want to camp.

Wonder will they have sense and keep the barrier open? No chance.

I was talking to the lady at the new static park beside the old army base today, gave her a few tips on 24 hr camper stops but not camping, she said maybe look in here, some of you could maybe have a talk, id said 5 to 10 pounds would work for overnight with no electric etc, and maybe up to 5 vans, seemed interested.
