When is your next trip
I'm on it at the moment.
We sold our house in England and moved out at the end of July last year. We had to wait until the end of November for the van to be delivered then converted and then moved into it. The first three weeks were spent on a campsite at Heretford, England. It was close to our old house, sister in law who is our postal address, friends and the storage container where our worldly good live. We had 2 weeks in Ireland for Christmas and New Year then took the ferry from Roslare to Bilbao on Jan 5th. As I write this I've got a fantastic mountain view of the Sierra Nevada in souther Spain.
Lovely.

Thanks for asking, I will. I should start a blog.
From Bilbao we've stayed inland. We've met quite a few people, English, Dutch, French and German who all say the coast is packed and they've had problems finding somewhere to stay. Apparently the Spanish Police aren't shy about fining people for illegal parking. The laws about overnight stays seem to vary between regions but in general overnight parking is OK, overnight camping isn't. Camping can be defined as doing things like using levelling ramps, sitting in a camping chair or using a wind out awning.
We've mainly been using aire's but are staying on campsite at the moment. This one:
https://www.campinglaslomas.com/ . The bus stops outside and we're going shopping in Granada later. There's a Decathlon in the city centre and I need to pick up an electric adaptor. Some of the electric hook ups use an old fashioned 2 pin plug rather than the usual 3 pin. If you're coming to Spain I'd recommend bringing one.
Next on the list is data. I've got a contract with O2 in England but when roaming data is restriced to 25gb a month for 63 days then it stops. It's worth reading the terms and conditions for your mobile provider if you're roaming for an extended period. Anyway, I bought a Movistar pay as you go sim which ill get binned when it runs out because I'm having an impossible time putting credit on it. I can't install the Movistar phone app unless I change my Google account regional setting to Spain, if I do this I can't change it back for one year and I've no idea what effect this will have once I leave Spain. I opened a Movistar account on their website but when I try to put credit on the SIM it won't let me, know idea why. I can do it by phone call but it's an automated menu system in rapid fire Spanish. I did manage to get through to someone who spoke English by selecting random numbers but they were unable to help. There's a company called Lobster who have shops in Granada, I'm going to try them.

Next on the shopping list is a hat or hats. I have a typical Irish complexion, very fair and can sunburn at night just thinking about the sun. I didn't bring any caps with me, big mistake. Mum was the ginger one, Dad has a fairly dark complexion. He had a bit of skin cancer removed a couple of months ago and needs radio therapy to finish the job. I took him for a hospital appointment and skin specialist suggested I should use sun cream every day, that's how fair I am.
