I was in Bathgate at a band contest ist week in May and I can tell you that Ally is not joking when he says that. The midges are not big by any means but they can sure leave you scratching . :police:

Yeah my wife is Scottish and I cant even get her to go in the summer months. remember once being on the Island of Arran and was BBQ and saw this blanket coming in the distance within seconds the had covered the motorhome and were singing hymns. I can tell you I wasn't. LOL

it is the only things the wee buggers dont like.
many years mountain biking in scotland and that was the only thing that worked.
