I recently ordered one of these on eBay for the princely sum of €2, delivered. A warm white LED module.

I am impressed with the warm colour temperature and brightness so I thought I'd let y'all know about it!

I brought it into work today and checked it on one of the fancy power supply's to accurately check the power consumption. It wasn't stated on the eBay page.

Tested at 12v it measured 0.275a or 3.3Watts which is very respectable...

The colour temp measured at 3115 Kelvin which is pretty darn close to that of a regular filament bulb.

There is a nice even spread of light from it too. Almost a 180° beam angle. It'd be ideal for countertop lighting or low level applications. I'm not sure how it'd compare to filament bulbs when used in a high ceiling application. I haven't tried that yet but it'll be next thing on the agenda.

Supplied with a selection of bulb adapters.

installed.

I had to do a bit of a trick to be able to connect it to our standard 1156 bayonet bulb fitting.

Works a treat, 100% of the light is directed downward. Mucho improvement over the other LED bulbs I bought a while back... (on the left).

Looks a good job, must start looking for some, sort of shy re LEDs as when they came out at the start for Motorhomes bought some at York show and they caught fire after a few days use,lucky I was in the van at the time, so I binned them, but was about 8 years ago, should be well sorted by now.

I got a few more of these LED panels for our old Bargman interior lamps to see if they're good enough.

I gotta say WOW...

I dare say they're actually better than the old filament bulbs...

I will be replacing all of the filament bulbs with these.

Thanks for the tip. I got some of the led panels and replaced all ten 21w bulbs in the lounge area. Great improvement, much brighter and a heck of a lot less current draw.thanks again for the post

Well i have to say we bough some of the led bulbs for out mh aswell, n they are great, alot more light out of them n dont used have a much power, we can have the whole mh light up now inside and it wont run down battery as much, in the warm light, purchased them off light rabbit. Enjoy the camping people...
